This is How Fashion Designers Are Getting Creative During Quarantine
From CGI Models to Zoom Campaigns, here are our favourite reactions from the fashion industry to the current lockdown.
When the situation gets tough, that might just give you a chance to show how creative you can be in overcoming and adapting to a global crisis. When it comes to creativity, fashion designers are no disappointment, but on the contrary: they are finding amazing ways to make the standard campaigns and promotional projects adherent to social distanting rules. Take a look at our favourite and most inspirational projects during the coronavirus-lockdown.
JACQUEMUS
Bella Hadid was among those who posed for photographer Pierre-Ange Carlotti for Jacquemus’s latest campaign, shot over FaceTime.

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN
The house enlisted big-name photographers like Ethan James Green and Lea Colombo to shoot its Tread Slick shoes in different cities.

CHROMAT X REEBOK
Lil Miquela isn’t the only CGI model in town. To showcase the Reebok Zig Kinetica sneakers from its spring 2020 show, Chromat worked with CGI animators and artist duo Pussykrew to outfit avatars in the looks.

INDIRA SCOTT IN VICTOR GLEMAUD
Glemaud introduced curve sizing for fall, with pieces going up to a 3XL. To celebrate, he enlisted his fashionable friends Indira Scott, Precious Lee, Kimberly Drew, and Adeline to model the looks as part of a Zoom dance party and self-shot campaign.

LIZ GOLDWYN FOR #MOSCHINOATHOME
Goldwyn was one of the lucky people to get a special delivery of Moschino’s painterly spring 2020 collection from Jeremy Scott. As in, the designer himself dropped it off at her door, as he did with other subjects like artist Rosson Crow, letting each woman interpret the look in her own way. You can find all the results on the designer’s Instagram feed.

MIU MIU’S #MIUME PROJECT
Model/actress Du Juan (left) and Love magazine editor Harriet Verney have posed for FaceTime self-portraits wearing new or rediscovered Miu Miu items of theirs as part of the brand’s new series.

Well, if it’s Creativity vs. Covid-19 – creativity, you clearly won!
